Laser Skirmish has developed a wide range of games. Each game or mission has team objectives - you win (or lose!) as a team. Each weekend at our public sessions we run the games suitable for primary school students and their parents/friends. We also can run private group sessions, just call us to see what we can do for you. The session usually runs like this.
Just fill out the form & we'll get back to you. Plus we'll send you the FREE "7 Tips for Birthday Party Fun" checklist.
The first thing to do when you arrive at the battlefield is to 'enlist' or register. Most group take advantage of the pre-paid discount so their names will be checked off and players will be issued with a wristband. Then you will be kitted up with camo (optional). And issued with gaming guns.
We are run a 15-minute capture the flag mission. Rather than using a traditional flag made from cloth, we play Electronic Capture The Flag! Each team has a flag box. To score a point you need to shoot the other team’s flag box, then without being killed, get back to your flag box and shoot it. When you shoot the opposition’s flag box your gaming gun will say ‘flag captured’. When you successfully return a flag to your flag box your gaming gun will say “flag returned”. A team can have multiple flags in play at the same time. When a gamer has a flag, both hit lights in the head sensor will be flashing. If you see an opposition gamer with a flag, try to kill them before they get away. Unlimited respawns are available from your base. At the end of the game time the team which had control for the most time, wins! At the end of the game there will be a sound effect which says "bravo team is victorious" or "alpha team is victorious!"
The C.O. places the Battle Royale Box in the centre of the battlefield (about equal distance between the red team's and blue team's base). The game runs for 15 minutes. Players mustn't move the box. The battlefield shrinks as the game goes on. Who will be the last gamer standing?
The C.O. places the Domination Box in the centre of the battlefield (about equal distance between the red team's and blue team's base). The game runs for 15 minutes. Players mustn't move the box. If the red team players tag the box and it flashes red. If the blue team players tag the box then it will flash blue. The timer inside the box works how long each team was in control. At the end of the game time the team which had control for the most time, wins! The box will flash that team colour and say "bravo team is victorious" or "alpha team is victorious"
Depending on the day the C.O. instead of the "Domination Games" they might play a Team Death Match (or Elimination Game). We are runn a 15-minute team death match. You have 15 minutes to de-activate opponents on the other team as much as possible while ensuring your team doesn’t die in the attempt. Keep your eyes open and keep a look out for any and all opposition. You have unlimited re-spawns to assist you, but remember each time you are killed is one more point to the opposition. To give you a fighting chance we have placed a mystery armor box is close by. To trigger a random piece of body armor, push the green button on the box. Body armor absorbs damage. Then, and this is only for the born gamblers, further towards the enemy is a mystery weapon box, this will give you a random weapon emulation from a selection of over 100. If you’re out of luck, you might end up with a terrible weapon like an axe or unarmed combat! For the lucky, however, there is a range of very powerful weapons like the 50-calibre machine gun. The grenade launchers have an area effect, if you hit one of the opposition team, all the enemy gamers nearby receive damage as well! You must be alive to activate a mystery box and you can only attempt a mystery once a minute. If you attempt to risk your luck again before the minute is out, your gaming gun will say “mystery lockout”. Mystery upgrades are kept between respawns.
